Tips for Facing the Flu

So, we got the flu.

Dang it.

I neurotically wash my hands. I shower the second I walk in the door from work (at the hospital) so that I am clean before I see Brayden in the morning. I Lysol our doorknobs and counter tops religiously. I also pray every night that our family remains healthy, especially this flu season.

High Lipase

Hi, my name is Tara and I have high lipase in my breast milk.

I swear, there needs to be a support group just for this struggle. If you don’t have high lipase in your breast milk or if your baby doesn’t mind it, consider yourself touched by an angel. Yes, I am being a bit dramatic about this but it is also a big ol’ pain in my rear. The Sickness

Having a sick baby is the worst!

Brayden is 11 months old and this is really the first time he has been sick, thank the Lord. It hit him like a ton of bricks on Friday afternoon. He seemed okay in the morning and then when he woke up from his morning nap he was SO hot. His temperature was 101. 3 and immediately I was worried. Continue reading “The Sickness”

#Goals

If you were to ask all of your friends to review their 2017 I am sure you would have a mixed bag of opinions- for some it was the best year EVER and others couldn’t wait for it to be over.

Personally, I had the most wonderful year of my life! I delivered my happy, healthy, amazing little boy, grew closer with my husband, spent a lot of time with my mom and really owned this “working mom” thing. Continue reading “#Goals”
